Wehnwood United Methodist Church

   The Wehnwood UMW meets the third Thursday of each month from September through June.  In September and June we meet at 6pm for a covered dish dinner with the other meetings beginning at 7pm.  The April and June meetings are sometimes changed because of Holy Week and Bible School.

   Some of our mission projects are:

The United Methodist Home for Children in Mechanicsburg

Epworth Manor

Mission Central (The Hub)

This past year some of our members rang the bell for the Salvation Army at the Logan Valley Mall. 

We made Christmas bags for our shut-ins. 

We hold a Sacrificial Breakfast on Good Friday with a guest representing the past.  Luella Krueger does a portrayal of women in the Bible.  The service begins at 9am.  It is a wonderful experience.

Twice a year (for the past several years) we have served Love Feast at Simpson Temple.  This a also a very rewarding experience.  We prepare a meal and serve the people who come.  Some are in need of a hot meal and some the good fellowship.

In May, we sponser "Girls Night Out".  This past year some of the men of the Church cooked and served a wonderful dinner.

Our group is not really all that large but everyone helps with our projects and some are open to all the Church members to participate.
